UBS interview process

1. Step 1

   Video screen

   Online assessments then a HireVue-style video interview; assessments due within seven days of receipt.

   • Numerical, verbal, and logical reasoning tests ahead of the video round.
   • A short set of timed video questions; treat any specific count or limit as approximate.

2. Step 2

   First round

   Reported as two 30-minute phone or video interviews on some cycles.

   • Self-introduction, behavioral background, and CV-based questions with light technical content.

3. Step 3

   Assessment centre

   An assessment center of multiple back-to-back interviews, typically two to three rounds, with senior management in the final rounds.

   • A mix of behavioral and technical questions, including DCF construction, comps, and precedent transactions.
   • Some cycles include a group exercise assessing teamwork and leadership.
   • Direct questions on wealth management integration and cross-selling with the investment bank.
   • “Tell me about a time you worked in a team to achieve a common goal.”
   • “Walk me through a recent M&A deal and your view on the price.”
